About penny@myt

MYT was started in 1983 by Ginny Graham, and has been building and thriving ever since. We are based at Welshpool High School and run three sessions each Wednesday. Juniors are years 4, 5 and 6. Intermediates are years 7, 8 and 9. Seniors are year 10 up to the age of 21. We are proud to say that many of our students go on to drama college and then into the profession.

‘INTERLUDE’ 2019

We are so pleased to announce that the MYT Intermediates took away two prizes from the Drama Association of Wales festival of one act plays which was held in Berriew at the end of April 2019. ‘A RIGHT SHINDIG’ 2018

What a fantastic end to the 2018 Drama Association of Wales One Act Play Festival – MYT Seniors won the adjudicators special prize for there fantastic performance of ‘A Right Shindig! This was awarded because of the fantastic teamwork and very high standard of performance, which the Adjudicator felt merited being awarded his special prize. We are terribly sad to announce that Ginny Graham has passed away.   Ginny set up Montgomeryshire Youth Theatre in 1983 and was not only the founder but also the creative and administrative director until she passed the mantle on to me in 2010.
