Also a huge thank you to those who donated raffle prizes and came along and took part.
This year’s murder mystery was held on 25th July at Guilsfield Community Centre and served both as a fundraiser and a fun filled week for those dedicated members who took part and gave up so much of their time and experience to make it a success. The play was entitled ‘He’s Behind You’ and told of a group of amateur dramatic enthusiasts who were rehearsing for their annual pantomime. As always the turnout was phenomenal and the feedback excellent, and once … Continue reading
This year’s major production was a devised piece entitled “After Happily Ever After”, and was held in the Assembly Rooms at Welshpool Town Hall on Saturday 11th April. We decided to try out a form of theatre known as ‘immersive theatre’ where the audience becomes a part of the action. The play dealt with well known characters from fairy tales and nursery rhymes, showing us what happens behind the scenes of these stories, and included a fearsome Queen of Hearts … Continue reading

That’s right! This years’s Murder Mystery will be on Saturday July 25th- all other details are yet to be confirmed. But all of those interested should be writing it in their diaries now, people will murder for the chance to see it (which is a great source of material.)
Welcome on board Ffion Owen, who has settled in as workshop leader for the Juniors. Ffion was a member of MYT from the age of 12 (they grow up so fast) right through to last year, and now she is passing on her expertise to the youngest group, ably assisted by a Goode teacher (Amy Goode).
Our plans for 2015 include the Senior production on the weekend of April 10th, which we have already begun to devise. There will also be a play in the weekend this spring for the two younger groups, and we are currently seeking funding to do something fitting to commemorate the end of World War II. Keep a look out as this will be updated as the information progresses.
A Happy New Year to all MYT members and their families and friends. We are very pleased to announce that although we unfortunately still have a waiting list for the two older groups, there are now places in the Juniour section which is school years 5 and 6. If you know of anybody who would be interested in joining us this term please contact Penny at Tel: 01938 553090 or 0781 772 1106.
What a fantastic week we had at The Workhouse in Llanfyllin rehearsing for our mummer’s play. All the hard work paid off and we had a very full house, a fabulous hog roast supplied by Rikki Lloyd and alot of fun!
