Major Production 2015

This year’s major production was a devised piece entitled “After Happily Ever After”, and was held in the Assembly Rooms at Welshpool Town Hall on Saturday 11th April.
We decided to try out a form of theatre known as ‘immersive theatre’ where the audience becomes a part of the action. The play dealt with well known characters from fairy tales and nursery rhymes, showing us what happens behind the scenes of these stories, and included a fearsome Queen of Hearts (played by Lewis Spencer) and her meek husband The King of Hearts (played by Freya Maguinness).
The audience became involved as an imaginary TV studio audience, a jury and members of the court and as wedding guests (yes, there was a happy ending)! The show was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience and actors alike, and we will be looking for similar experiments to undertake in the future!
